Law and Economy
The focus is on the legal and regulatory environment that determines the economic and financial performance of companies. Preference is given to an integrative approach, therefore the focus is on the connections between the various legal regulations and we attempt to indicate the possible contradictions between them. It is necessary to highlight the legal loopholes resulting from the inadequate legal structure and to draw attention to some potentially dangerous pitfalls. The effects of international law should also be taken into account e.g. the modification of the legal structure prior to joining the EU. These adaptations can determine present and future business decisions. It is important to follow the changes of the relevant laws and regulations, not only when they are officially accepted, but also to highlight earlier changes of the same regulation. We also analyse the rules concerning economic policy, performance and the taxation of foreign companies operating in a given country or region.
